Our Story

In 2002, Victor Reyes left his hometown of Veracruz, Mexico and came to the United States in search of a better life.  In order to be able to make money to send home, Victor worked for a large company cutting trees for 8.5 years. During this time, he honed his skills in tree identification, climbing techniques and chainsaw operation, safety protocols, pruning, weight reduction and tree removal. He successfully executed numerous challenging projects, including handling dangerous trees and managing large-scale assignments. During those years, Victor found his drive in both the financial support for his family and the personal satisfaction of achieving excellence in his work. In 2010, Victor teamed up with his two brothers and several of his childhood friends and established King's Tree and Outdoor Service.

A key contributor to Victor’s company is Eduardo Hernández Cordova. Eduardo grew up in the same town as Victor and they worked together cutting sugar cane and doing construction.  Eduardo learned to build houses from the ground up, specializing in bathrooms and kitchens. He has been building and designing, from houses to patios, for over 15 years. Today, Eduardo works alongside his old friend as Project Manager and Designer of Hardscape Projects.

 Victor derives immense joy from witnessing the satisfaction of his customers, often going above and beyond their expectations by providing additional services at low costs.  Nothing brings him greater satisfaction than knowing his team has executed their work with excellence, leaving clients eager to pass his name on and to enlist his services again. (Victor gets 90% of his clients from word of mouth). One of Victor’s customers sums it up like this: “For more than 15 years, my husband and I have relied on Victor and his crew for all our tree work. They have felled trees more than 100 feet tall; trimmed branches on trees both large and small; and responded quickly when a tree came down during a snowstorm. His team works nonstop until the job is done, and their cleanup includes chipping brush and branches, as well as raking up their worksite before they leave. In the last few years, King’s Tree and Outdoor Service has expanded its services beyond tree care to encompass landscaping and hardscaping.
